WORKING ON A PRSA COMMITTEE
IS ONE OF THE BEST WAYS TO NETWORK
WITH OTHER VALLEY PR PROS
WHILE ACQUIRING NEW SKILLS
Accredited members are encouraged to help out with this committee, which facilitates study sessions for candidates taking the APR exam. Online mentoring opportunities are also available.
Copper Anvil Awards Committee
This committee plans one of the chapter’s largest events of the year – the Copper Anvil awards banquet in the fall of each year. Help plan this celebration, coordinate the awards process and raise funds for student scholarships.
This committee manages the chapter’s website, bi-monthly newsletter E-Talk and social media accounts. Help provide online content or manage the Facebook, Twitter and/or LinkedIn pages for the local organization.
Job Board Coordinator
The job board coordinator registers new subscribers, maintains the job database and manages the chapter’s job board.
This cluster recruits and retains members. Tasks include reaching out to potential PRSA members, communicating the advantages of local chapter membership to PRSA members and helping with hospitality efforts at PRSA events.
As a function of the membership cluster, the volunteers on the retention committee are responsible for calling a list of assigned members slated to be up for renewal within 5 to 6 months to check in on their overall satisfaction.
