PRSA Phoenix Volunteer Guidelines
Overview: These volunteer guidelines are to provide guidance to appropriate roles and use of volunteers within the PRSA Phoenix Chapter. These guidelines assume that the Chapter is using the current cluster structure.
Should the cluster structure be changed, these guidelines may also need modification.
Levels of volunteers: Volunteers will be classified into one of three categories:
• Cluster Chair
• Committee Chair
• Committee Volunteer
Clusters include the membership cluster, reputation management/communications cluster, and professional development cluster.
Committee chairs lead committees that report to the cluster chair. For example, the university relations committee falls under the membership cluster, and thus reports to the membership cluster chair.
Each committee chair may recruit committee volunteers to serve on their respective committees, and should notify their cluster chair with a committee list once or twice a year.
Volunteer requirements
Cluster chair – must be a PRSA Phoenix member and PRSA Phoenix board member in good standing. Reports to the chapter president and board of directors.
Committee Chair – must be a PRSA Phoenix member in good standing. Reports to his/her cluster chair.
Committee Volunteer – may be a PRSA member or non-member. Reports to his/her committee chair.
Volunteer guidelines
Please note: Volunteer chairs or committee members are required to pay all fees associated with attending events, regardless of leadership role.
